Imposed 10% Tariff Increase on Chinese Goods

On September 24, 2018, the Trump administration has imposed an increase of 10 percent tariff on $200 billion in Chinese goods and will increase to 25 percent on January 1, 2019.  China plans an additional 5 percent duty on $60 billion of U.S. goods equating to about 1,600 kinds of U.S. products and an additional 10 percent on more than 3,500 items.  Trump said the U.S. will immediately pursue additional tariffs on $267 billion of Chinese imports if China strikes back against American farmers and industry.
